Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Aurora Technologies LLC (DBA Seshana)("Seshana," "we") for use of seshana.com and the hosted product. If you are signing up for a school or squadron, you are also agreeing on behalf of that organization.

The product

Seshana is business software for outdoor lesson schools and, in a separate mode, aviation operations such as Civil Air Patrol squadrons. We provide the software. We do not run your school, your flights, or your instruction. You are responsible for waivers, safety, licenses, and any rules that apply to your sport or to aviation — including that aviation customers must still use official systems such as WMIRS where required. Seshana does not replace those systems.

Accounts

You need an accurate email and a password or other sign-in method we support. Keep access limited to people who should see your schedule and customer or cadet records. You are responsible for what happens under your organization's account.

SMS

SMS from Seshana is optional and transactional: team invites, lesson or flight schedule notices, reminders, and account alerts. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Your data

You own the operational data you put in Seshana (schedules, customers, waivers, and so on). We need a license to host it, back it up, and send the notifications you configure. We will not sell it. If you close the account, we delete or anonymize it after a short retention window needed to unwind billing and backups.

Acceptable use

Do not break the law, probe other organizations' data, abuse the demo to provision junk accounts, or use the product to spam. We can suspend an account that is harming the service or other customers.

Beta and billing

During beta, plans may be free. When paid billing is on, the pricing page is the source for plan limits. Subscriptions renew until you cancel. We may change prices with notice; founding-member rates, when offered, are described at signup.

Founding members (outdoor schools)

A founding member is an outdoor lesson school that was among the first 100 schools to pay for a Seshana subscription at founding member pricing. For as long as a founding member keeps its subscription, Seshana will not charge any platform, booking, or percentage fee on payments processed for that school. Payment processors such as Stripe charge their own fees, which are separate and are not set or collected by Seshana. A school that is fully refunded under the money-back guarantee below is no longer counted as a founding member.

30-day money-back guarantee

If Seshana is not right for your school, tell us within 30 days of your first subscription payment and we will refund that subscription payment. The guarantee covers the subscription only. Done-for-you setup and website install are separate one-time services (see below). Payment processor fees may not be returned by the processor on refunded charges.

Done-for-you setup and website install

Setup is an optional one-time service billed separately from your subscription. It includes: pulling your data from your current system, importing your instructors, lesson types, and customers, setting up your account, a test booking, and a 30-minute walkthrough call, plus one round of revisions. It assumes a reasonably clean export from your current system; re-typing data from paper or PDFs is extra. Website widget install is a separate add-on. Custom-built websites are not edited by us; we send the embed code to your developer.

We will have your setup live within 2 weeks of the day we have your payment and the information we need (such as your customer list, lesson details, and instructor names), typically sooner. If we miss that, we will credit you one free month of your subscription toward your next invoice. Time spent waiting on information from you does not count. Setup and website install fees are non-refundable once work begins.

Customer text messages

Customer text messages sent through Seshana are included in your plan with no per-text fee, for reasonable use. We may contact you about unusually high volume.

Availability

We work to keep Seshana up. We do not promise it will never fail. Do not use it as the only copy of a waiver or a flight record you are required to keep. Export or print what you must retain.

Liability

The product is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, Aurora Technologies LLC (DBA Seshana) is not liable for lost profits, lost bookings, or damages beyond the fees you paid us in the previous twelve months (or $100 if you paid nothing). Some states do not allow these limits; in those states they apply only as far as permitted.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. Continued use after an update is acceptance of the new terms. Questions: support@seshana.com.
