Guided fishing charter

Fishing

Charters run on tides and text threads. Only one of those should be the system of record.

Seshana is for fishing guides and small charter desks. Half-days, full-days, and lessons need the boat, the guide, and the customer on one board before anyone asks 'we still on?' at 4am.

The group text is not a booking system

A charter is a boat, a tide, a weather call, and a deposit. If those live in Instagram DMs, you will double-book the only skiff or forget the angler who paid last month.

Guides who also run a shop have a worse version: the counter takes a walk-up while you are already committed to a sunrise trip that was never written down.

Tides do not move because someone's cousin wants to 'see if 7 still works.' You need the trip on a calendar the customer already confirmed, with a waiver that is not in the truck somewhere.

Put the trip on a board the dock can trust

Lesson types for half-day, full-day, and instructional trips. Locations for the ramp or the inlet you actually run from. Weather and tides on that location. The widget for people who should not have your cell number at 11pm.

Tides and weather on the spot you launch

Attach conditions to the location. A consumer forecast for the city is not the same as what you need at the inlet.

The boat is equipment

If you run more than one hull, check it out on the trip. One boat cannot take two sunrise charters because two people both 'thought they had it.'

Deposits without living in Venmo screenshots

Use the booking widget, or Shopify if that is already how you sell. The trip should appear on the schedule when they pay — not when you remember to copy it over.

Waivers before the dock

Send them with the confirmation. You should not be handing a clipboard to someone in the dark with coffee in the other hand.

Questions owners actually ask

I am a single guide with one boat. Do I need this?
If your book is still a phone and a notebook, maybe not. If you are turning people away because you cannot see next week clearly, or you keep eating no-shows, the solo plan is built for that.
Can customers book a leftover half-day online?
Yes, if you publish that lesson type on the widget with real availability. Keep trophy trips as manual if you want to talk to them first.
Does this talk to the Coast Guard or a fishing-license system?
No. It is your operations calendar, customers, and waivers. License and safety rules stay on you.
What about offshore vs inshore as different trips?
Make them different lesson types, and different locations if the launch is different. Do not mash them into one 'fishing' slot.
