Aviation questions, asked like ops

Civil Air Patrol first. Flight schools can use the same mode. If this does not answer you, email support@seshana.com.

What is Seshana for Civil Air Patrol?
Seshana is squadron-level software for cadet orientation flights: who is flying, with which pilot and aircraft, which syllabus ride it is, and whether a parent was told. It is not WMIRS and it is not a relabeled lesson scheduler.
Does this replace WMIRS?
No. WMIRS is still required for CAP aircraft and mission reporting. You file there. Seshana is the local board WMIRS was not built to run — cadets, guardians, O-flight syllabus, and Saturday ops before anyone walks to the ramp.
How does it help with cadet orientation flights?
You put O-flights on a schedule, assign a pilot and aircraft, keep the cadet and a guardian contact on the record, and send notifications the product already supports. The live demo is a composite squadron mid-week with flights on the board.
Can we track O-1, O-2, O-3 and CAPF 9?
Orientation flights can be noted as syllabus O-1, O-2, or O-3 on the flight. Cadet consent is handled as a waiver template — the Civil Air Patrol demo uses CAPF 9 / participation forms that way. Seshana does not file those forms to National for you.
How do guardians and cadets see the schedule?
Cadets can have an account. Guardian contacts sit on the cadet record so a parent can be notified when the squadron has that turned on. It will not replace a phone call when you still owe someone a call.
What about pilot currency and aircraft?
Form 5s, medicals, and other quals can sit on the pilot so an expiration shows up before it grounds Saturday. Aircraft can be up, down for maintenance, or already dispatched. Weather at the home field is METAR, TAF, and flight category — not a phone forecast.
Is this only for CAP?
The public story is Civil Air Patrol cadet orientation flights. The same aviation mode can serve a flight school or CFI. Those users still see flight, pilot, and aircraft language — not outdoor lesson copy.
What does it cost, and how do we try it?
During beta the plans are free. Create a squadron from aviation sign-up, or open the live composite-squadron demo. That demo is a sandbox and is not indexed for search.
